i had several problems a while back:
1. while using the "jump to"dropdown box, choosing a forum always ends up giving a "page not found" or a 404 error page.
2. i tried replying to a post and after submitting, my reply simply disappeared... i don't know where the post went.
3. also, after posting, can the page go to the new message / reply, rather than the topic list? it's so frustrating not seeing your post immediately and you still have to click the thread link.
thanks!
btw, cool site.

whenever I'm clicking an updated forum, I always ended up looking at my profile.

whenever I'm clicking an updated forum, I always ended up looking at my profile.
sorry for the inconvenience squatt3r. i just purged the old SEF URLs amd regenerated new ones.
the old URLs are still cached in your system. everything will be okay once your cache is cleared / purged once you restart / reboot your system.
after rebooting, post back if the problem exists. thanks!

the email icon and my email address on the members section as well as the profile summary shows up even when I ticked on the "hide email address from public option"
does this show to other members or only to me. when I'm logged in. it seems strange that it should even be there as I don't see a reason why i would send myself and email.

as for the members list, your email field is blank. i guess the email shows to the member himself for checking or if he changes his email, he will then see...

it's been observed that the forums load very slllloooowwwwwwlllllyyyyyy and returned errors messages after the launch.
anyway, we made some finetuning with the portal-forum bridge script and made some adjustments. i believe the forums now load faster and hopefully the error and bugs have been corrected.

can the ads by google (the one with the firefox logo) be moved to the bottom or the side of the of the posts instead of the top, it can really be annoying at times to have to scroll down everytime just to see a post. or maybe i'm just lazy :P

some of the problems seems to be bandwidth issues or webhost issues...sana you get a better host (if possible)... like perhaps yung current webhost ng Tsikot.com

Is this forum/site owned by Robinson's Handyman store?
if yes, sana they advertise their product line up na rin (anyway kanila yung site).... deadlink yung 'the market place'
if not, sana the website owners' also invite other suppliers to advertise their wares here....(like sa homedepot area in j. vargas st. na napakaraming store choices).

I do experience this, especially when I am composing my message. After posting, I would get the message that I am not login.
Can a thread starter edit the title thread? I can only edit the message text.

Like wise with me, I do experience being logged out even though I am not logging out yet
specially when I'm composing my replies. Minsan nga napapamura ako sa computer or system na ginagamit ng PHM:mad:
My son who is kindda techi with computers told me that this occurence could be probably a safety or security measure in the program. Its some sort of a security feature for the user or computer. [ I think!!! ]

I have had this problem with several sites as well Rosy, often happens when I write long replies and once I submit, it re-logs in and everything is lost. huhuhu such a pain, one way to work around it is save it sa clipboard or notepad especially the long replies. at least if it misses the first time, you have a back-up.
We will try to do what we can, but was told it had something to do with bandwidth. and since PHM is free and doesn't earn, it is quite difficult to justify spending more for the owner. If we can only get some sponsors then all can be better...

malimit mag expire ang session ko samantalang naka forever ang log ko.
The Session Timeout is set at 900 seconds (or 15 minutes). This is the time in seconds that a user must remain inactive before their login session expires. This is a security measure in cases of users using public computers (cafes, libraries, etc.)
Anyway, i adjusted this upwards to 3,600 seconds (or one hour). Make sure you change pages, submit replies or go to other areas of the website within the hour. After an hour, you login session will expire if there is no activity whatsoever.

Hi sir timber, I'm glad that you were able to read my post regarding this matter and I thoght I was missing some things or doing something wrong in submitting my postings. Am glad not the only one.
Anyway I have found a way to make sure my posts will not suddenly disappear or for sure my postings will come out and be accepted by the system.
I would just click the mouse on the right side, click select all then click again to copy all the try to submit reply, if it does not accept then I simply re log in and wait for the message board then click copy paste then submit reply, and for sure it works
Thanks timber for the support

good idea, sir rosy. actually, ginagawa ko na din yan. kasi yung ibang sinalihan kong online message boards ganun din. may time out din. so nagkacopy and paste na muna ako sa notepad, esp pag mahaba ang message.

Experienced This too up to today, nakakailang refresh ako. Minsan ayaw mag load talaga. Akala ko connection problem, but it's not since other sites I tried are ok naman.

The site seems to have aproblem when being browsed in an iPhone or iPad version. The "Normal Version" button seems not to be working.
Also, it would be better if the site could also be added to the Touch BB Lite version. I think running a script is all it needs as vBulletin is adaptable to Touch BB.
when being browsed thru an ipad, the chatbox does not appear? is this normal for mobile browsing?
Ah what's happening with PINOYHANDYMAN.COM website ? It would be off-line by early morning or mid afternoon or sometimes early evenings, being off-line started last week.
Got caught twice or thrice posting replies or posting WIPs, it would suddenly disappear or be erased from the screen so I have to wait again for an hour or two or more before it gets on line, then will have to re-type again replies or do all over again posting WIPs.
It has become a BIG hassle and is so frustrating that you cannot access latest thread or participate sa chat box, I just hope the website gets to be improved more. ( SIGH )
Bro type mo muna sa notepad then cut and paste sa reply box. I know what it feels too. Happened to me lot of times so if the site is misbehaving I use notepad first.

Recently, I find the server to be inaccessible for quite some time. Most of the time, we a re just redirected to a cached/save version. In that version, I cannot tell if all replies could be save as it is only a back-up copy I suppose.
Hopefully, the admin could check on it.
