my small work area needs additional space, since I can't get any, I decided to reclaim a small part of the helpers bathroom (we don't have helpers anyway). I used to use this area to keep my scrap pieces. then I decided to clean the area to this condition...

I then purchased several threaded rods and a bunch of nuts and washers...

mounted MDF sheet to fit the tile to wall recess to keep it in place, drilled several holes on it for the threaded rods and installed the shelves.

I still get to stock several scraps on it and lots of boxes and stuff that clutters my work space... they're within reach when I need them and far away when I don't...

a little more is in order, a place to hang the mops and broom. it will go to the short side of the shelves...

Nice ... the toilet would also make a good place for "wet" work. Putting a sink near my workshop has been a long overdue project.

In my shop, space being at a premium, I had rebars strung across where the ceiling would be. The rebars are hung from smaller rebars attached to the rafters. I hang all sorts of stuff from them. I have a bunch of S hooks you can buy in the malls. I have one of those "grabbers" like pliers at the end of a rod you can operate from the other end to get things up and down. Also, I had the platform of an old bed put up there to provide self space. It is kind of like and attic. I don't store anything volatile or anything affected by heat such as batteries up there because it gets pretty hot.

hehehe, talk about shop space being a premium... Here is my work space (it exists only when there is no laundry to wash or dry)...
