I am planning to make this

http://www.spacify.com/newasp/assets/product_images/bigpicture/zoom/Hide-console-table-p.jpg

but i will be using knock down joinery. e.g. removable dowel on a through mortise and tenon joint. Hence hardwood is a must.

Might make this as a console table very Japanesy Shinto-ish actually.

I have blocks of narra left over from the cut off of my stair treads, i just realized i could use these to make shopmade tooks... :)

Oh and is our own red Lauan / Tanguile really considered a hardwood? I hate working with the red stocks :)

anyone here used guijo/giho wood?

its 120 per board feet so a 2 x 4 x 10 feet would be 799.20 pesos....
