Hi Everyone!
Here i am again trying my hand at electric fan repair. This is an Imarflex brand fan. So, i`d like to replace the 2 bearings (more like metal bushings) supporting the front and rear end of the motor shaft (which i just replaced btw).

I wrongly got a tube and tapped the bearing from the outside of the motor housing hoping to push out the bearing retainer "fingers" with the bearing itself. The bearing just popped out leaving the retainer "fingers" in there.

So, my question is: How do i get the Bearing retainer "fingers" out, and how do i return it? It looks like a press fit, i dont really know.. Any help appreciated! THANK YOU!

hi patrick!
that bearing retainer is spring material... and it is machine press-fitted to the motor housing. if ever you can get it out of its attachment, you may not seat it back properly. it may not hold the bushings properly again.
best to do is buy the whole assembly/set of the motor housings with bushings.
