        Thanks Armand, Joel, neilman!

Progress has been very slow. Shop time is only a few hours a week.

RIpped some 1/4" plywood for the balde storage

Now for the wooden "plugs" that will hold the blades

Plugs already cut, but still connected to the stock

        Now to release the plugs

          Snug fit

BTW, I already installed a safety paddle switch

The switch controls an extension cord built into the station. Now I can easily turn the router ON or OFF.
Power to the GTS1031 also goes through this switch.

This is a 2-pole single throw switch. Since only 1 pole is needed to control the TS/router, the other pole can be used to simultaneously control othe equipment. A 220V vaccuum cleaner, perhaps?

I made the mistake of buying a cheap 200-watt drill press. It did not perform as well as I thought it would. After maybe a year I bought a real drill press from VicSteel. Its 3/4 HP PowerCraft with 16mm capacity.

The small one is gathering dust. I'm thinking of what to do with it. A DIY lathe?

A very practical way in storing those circular blades bro joey !! Great idea just under the
TS mobile base for easy reach. Just need now some staining and varnishing or perhaps
spray painting to avoid wood borers (bukbok).

What do you think bro ?

Yes, rosy. This will be painted to protect the plywood.

I'll do the painting in the end after everything is in place. But that will take a while (2-3 more months?)

Maybe a quick coat of sanding sealer will do while waiting for the final finish. This weekend siguro.

                        Not-so-recent updates:

Made some 1/4" x 1/4" strips of pine (its what I have available)

Glued and nailed to the sides of the router bit drawer

                        Cut some pine boards

Stacked them up and drilled 1/2" holes. The drill press was set to the slowest speed (I previously used it for drilling metal)

Uhgly! Even the boards underneath have tear-outs!

Tried again at max speed. Much better results.

                            Glued a backer board

                            Cut rabbets around

                            It fits!

                              Test fit

And I have a convenient holder for the bits that I will need for a specific task

I used plywood for the backer board. Plywood is known to encourage the formation of rust when iron gets in contact with it. I'm going to minimize the risk by applywing candle wax to the holes

Heat gun to melt the wax

Candle wax takes too long to melt. And it might block the hole when it hardens.

                                Made the edges pretty

BTW, I added the finger holes as recommended by our resident doctor.
