  • Sand, Gravel & Cement Smart Mixing

Does anyone of your here knows the right mixing ration for sand, gravel and cement? My brother is making some maintenance at home and we don't know the right mixing amount.

I tried to call our uncle but this Smart don't have thier freaking stable signal. You just get connected for a few minutes minutes and disconnected for almost an hour.

But anyway, anyone have an idea?

Here is the ratio of Cement:Sand:Gravel

    Column and Footing - Class A (1:2:4)
    Concrete Hollow Block Footing - Class B (1:2 1/2:5)
    Reinf. Concrete Slab & Beam - Class A (1:2:4)
    Slab on fill - Class C (1:3:6)

Example if I'm going to pour concrete on column. I need the Class A Mixture that requires (1:2:4) ratio.
A 40 kg Bag Cement is approximately 1 cu.ft. You need 2 cu.ft of sand & 4 cu.ft of gravel for the proper mixture. We just used the empty cement bag for sand & gravel ratio. Simply 1 bag cement, 2 bags sand & 4 bags gravel. Then clean water to make a pliable paste.

Re: Sand, Gravel & Cement Smart Mixing

Ngayon alam na natin yun tamang mixture.

If I'm going to pour concrete on 2 columns with size .3m x .3m x 3m height. How many cement, sand and gravel do I need.

      Simply compute the total volume = .3x.3x3 x 2columns = .54 cu.m.

      For class A Mixture
      CV (Concrete Volume) x 7.85 = No. of cement = (.54x7.85) = 4.2 or say 5 bags
      CV (Concrte Volume ) x .42 = No. of cu.m of sand = (.54x.42) = .23 cu.m Sand
      CV (Concrete Volume ) x .84 = No. of cu.m gravel = (.54 x .84) = .46 cu.m Gravel

      Add 10% allowance for wastage.

      Hope this will help you.

        Hi there bro custom888

Bro answers to you two questions will depend on how long and wide will the hump be and the hole you intend to fill up or cover will also depend on how deep and wide the ground hole but basically you can base them all mixing ratios in sir bryant77's reply.

        GOOD LUCK !

a bit of OT here, are those Additive Mixture that claim to strengthen the concrete, do they really live up to their promise?

              Class C (1:3:6) Concrete Mix

CV x 5.49 = No. of bags cement
              CV x 0.44 = No. of cu.m. Sand
              CV x 0.89 = No. of cu.m. Gravel

Water to make a pliable paste.

ask lang fix value ba yung 5.49 , 0.44 , 0.89? if sa Class B anu value niyan?

May tanong lang po ako sa mga masters dito. . .

Ano po dapat gamitin for wall finishing? Rough kasi masyado ang walls. I was thinking perhaps we can create a wall finishing for it. Thanks po.
