Hey nice post Bee. I've been looking to buy small pieces for, as you said, for jigs and toolings.

thanks guad. Yup a coat of fiberglass would definitely be needed. I guess the adhesive used is like ordinary plywood in that it doesn't like water at all.

they have several pieces pa. The bodegero is also very helpful. He actually scrutinizes the wood to make sure he identifies it right.

I will be making a new marking guage using the hard maple 🙂

all those scraps cost me 1K aprrox. I am pretty happy with it. And the hard maple weighs heavier than the narra stock i have (more or less same board feet)

bee thats probably danny boy, mabait yan i usually give him extra everytime i buy wood from them, he saves me figured maple whenever he finds one he has a very good eye in finding figured woods

update on the price
maple is - 250
white ash - 240
cherry - 290
new zealand pine - 54
bamboo flooring na tig 3-4ft long 4in wide 24pcs 1 box is 3000 or 2800 if i remember correctly

OT they are actually going to sell aluminum they transferred the woods near the gate to make way for the aluminum and steel products

Hi, I know that this thread and info was in 2010 but I just want to ask if you have (and still remember) the name of the lumber shop where you got your maple hardwood? Thank you!
