Do HDF lamintaed floorings like Hornitex and Pergo contain VOCs (volatile organic compounds)? Read somewhere that materials with high VOC content are not advisable for bedroom use.

and what about engineered wood?

btw pergo only claims 15 years for their floor products (and much lesser or hornitex) before they need replacement so i mentioned engineered wood planks.

it is nice to think back the good old days....nipa hut with bamboo slats.

no VOC's then...just mosquitoes attacking you in between the slats!

nipa hut with bamboo slats.... nice. i remember when my parents used to send us kids to the province to spend the summer. it was really nice.

Pergo is quite expensive. I think 3x the price of Hornitex. I think I should go back to glazed ceramic tiles....
