Hi,

I am planning to use Apo Vynil Wood Planks for my bedrooms. I just would like to get feedback from those who already used one.

Some said it is not good if the room is not air conditioned in the afternoon as the heat will cause it to unstick from the floor. But those who are telling me do not have first hand experience with it. It's all hear say.

Thanks,
Froi

Re: Apo Vynil Wood Planks

Are you referring to apo vinyl tiles that have wood pattern and cut like planks? If it is then I would say that it is merely hearsay. As long as you use apo power bond then I don't think you will have a problem.

Re: Apo Vynil Wood Planks

Good morning PHM! Now that I am about to install vinyl planks in our bedrooms, I am quite in a dilemma what brand to use. Our first choice was Hornitex since we like the antique/rustic finish with wood grain. I am not sure though if they are scratch-proof, much less scratch-resistant. Their website hasn't been much help either.

On the other hand, there is APO Mimicri series vinyl planks. It clearly states in their website that it has a "wear layer" making it scratch-resistant. Unfortunately though, the design that we like is not available in APO's Mimicri series.

I am now torn between aesthetics and performance. Although the vinyl planks will be installed in the bedrooms only (light traffic); I want something that could "last". Am I correct to think that "all" vinyl planks have a protective coating to prevent scratches?

I would very much appreciate your inputs esp. those who have used these brands before. Thanks in advance!
