Hi all,

Where can I buy a 5'x9' or a 4.5'x5' wood?

I'm looking at either a marine ply wood, or particle board. This is to be used for a table tennis table. Any idea on it's price as well?

Thanks in advance.

I doubt if you can find plywood or particle board for that matter that have the dimensions you mentioned. Common sizes are 4' x 8'. You can get in touch with plywood manufacturers too and see if they cut according to your specs. HTH!

Ok, I've given up looking for odd sized board and got a standard sized marine ply wood instead.

My next problem is, how do you harden the surface of the plywood? I was thinking marine epoxy but I'm really not sure if it's the right way to improve the stiffness of the board to improve bounce of the ball against it.

Re: board for TT table

I'm guessing polyester body filler should do the trick.
