I have 200sqm lot. (20m x 10m). I am planning to have a fully fence House. I dont know which materials I need to have. The height would be 6ft tall, the column about 1ft X 1ft. Do I need to have a beam in foundation? If so, please provide all the needed materials. Front side with steel gate for car entrance and small gate for people. I need the materials until fully finishing.

How many man power do I need for my fence? How long would it takes? and also the materials I need? Thank you in advance.

Vic

Re: Costing of Materials for fence

Bro better find yourself an architect or a contratista na hasa sa pag fe fence ng isang property, someone that you can really trust or rely on, so that these guys can give you the right estimate or right computations for the " BILL of MATERIALS ". I can give you some ideas on what you will need but the costings are already out of the question since prices of building materials have gone up and are still going up plus labor cost for the workforce have changed also. Its been years since I had my property fenced. If I give you some suggestions, it will be based on my actual experience, meaning lagi akong naka tutok sa pagawa, and see to it na laging may materials available and that materials are not wasted.

For fencing, you will need to use de 6" na hollow blocks, for rebars, you will need 10mm, 12mm, and 16mm, the 16mm rebars are for your poste par talagang matibay. Also you will need lots of kgs of tie wire#16. May I suggest you also put biga (tie beams) sa ilalim ng mga hollow blocks to connect all your poste and a topping beam above the fence, these beams will strenghten you concrete fence. You will also need to buy some plywood, maybe 3/16 or 1/2" thick, usage will be pang forma ng poste at horizontal beams, you will need also some 2 x 2 coco lumber as support for your formas. For personnel, probably you will be needing 5 to 6 people, 1 or 2 head kanteros for layouting and CHB application, 2 laborers to start digging the trench, then 2 will start working on the rebars formation, cutting and assembly of post frames and footing frames. But of course you will be buying bags of cement, white sand and 1/2 size gravel. These are just suggestions in general, details will depend on your discussions/agreements between you and your kontratista, architect or engineer whatever you choose.

Hope this gives you some idea or picture on the project you want to accomplish, good luck !! ;):p

Re: Costing of Materials for fence

Hi dear am newbie here and i want to say that There are so many variables to affect the Lifespan of chain link fences. As a general rule, you can expect a functional life expectancy of approx 20-30yrs. Atmospheric conditions such as industrial pollutants(acid rain), soil conditions, Kids climbing the fence and vegetation growing in the chain link fabric all can affect life span.
