Hi,

Thought I started this thread already. Tried the search function but can't seem to find it anywhere.

Anyway, I'm fixing up my shop and setting up another (little) work area in another part of the house.

I am looking for Pegboard, which is a sort of dense and stronger type of Lawanit board, with holes
spaced all over, and usually painted white, although brown is also possible.

You see this in all the DIY stores (TrueValue, Ace, Handyman) except they use it to hang their
display items. They do not sell pegboards.

Anybody know where we can get this ??

I found a hardware in Makati (delaRosa St., near Makati Med) that sells a 4 X 8 sheet (white) for a whopping 2,400 Pesos !!!

If this hardware (the only one I've found that has it) is selling it, then he must have a local supplier.

Cheers 🙂

Re: Perforated board or Pegboard needed

Hmm, looks like this is difficult to find.

If no pegboard is available, then does anyone know where I can get marine lawanit 1/4 thick ?

I can just drill the holes myself.

Also, does anyone know what sinter board is ??

Cheers 8)

Re: Perforated board or Pegboard needed

would those "perforated" sheet metal work boards found in mall HWs be applicable to your project? they usually come with attachments too, like spanner racks, trays, etc. or another alternative are thos perforated sheet metal found in the HW, don't really know what they're called or what they're for but I think officially they're supposed to be for concrete works etc. their holes come in different sizes too. the smallest I got was 1/8. Re: Perforated board or Pegboard needed

Yeah perforated metal sheeting will do fine. The hardware goes into holes at least 3/16 to 1/4".

Concrete works ?? You mean used as some kind of a form ?? Not sure I know what these are.

From a regular HW (hardware)? What would you call them ? Which hardware ?

Thanks for the info B2. 🙂

Re: Perforated board or Pegboard needed

no prob for the 1/4, I think it's readily available, seeing that the local hardware (HW) in my place alwas has stock for 1/4.
i'm not sure where these're used too exactly, I'll ask the HW when I get home. 😛 A shop-owner friend of mine used it for his signage, seen it used in custom bumpers too. I'm using it in my custom amp rack as a sort of a grill... Oh, BTW: I dunno if they come in various sizes (read: thickness) as well and whether every hardware sells them in "tingi".
As to which HW, I guess you'll have to go to the ones that have construction materials as their primary commodity. Specially the ones that have GI sheets and screens too. I can't give you a specific one in MM because I sourced it locally in San Fernando, L .U.

chanced upon these yesterday

Cutman Tools Panels Kit

at Tampines 1 Mall (in Singapore), selling for SgD130++

might wanna give it a try as an alternative...hth.

PS: bought one already but have yet to unpack it, will do a "review" when I get back home (in the Philippines).

Re: Perforated board or Pegboard needed

A news on a local seller for perforated lawanit? Been thinking about tidying up my shop.

Also, what kind of fitting/hook is used to hang tools on those pegboards?

Re: Perforated board or Pegboard needed

Thanks for sharing that link. Would you know their prices?

Last week, I also found some GI perforated boards and hooks at the new True Value at Eastwood Plaza in Libis, QC. Will post photos later.

i texted the given number for the perf sheet guage 16 or 1.5 mm, no paint, 4 x 8 ft would cost 3.8k each.

then another text followed that they require 50% deposit and 50% pick up after 3 to 5 working days.

was wondering why though

I think they order the perforated GI sheet from another shop.

Those fabrication shop that has CNC Turret machine saglit lang gawin yun perforated sheet. I think mas makakatipid tayo kung mag group buy. We just pay the turret services.

Or we can ordered here http://www.gdmpi.com/perforatedmetal.php

mag group buy na lang tayo para maka discount.

Re: Perforated board or Pegboard needed

Here's the perforated board and hooks I got.

They also have the large rectangular boards but expensive. I think these "strips" would do well so long as properly spaced in rows.

Am I right, 50% off? I saw similar peg board at robinson in Marcos Highway.

Re: Perforated board or Pegboard needed

That's right. 50% off on both the peg board and the hooks. Pero palagay ko kaya discounted dahil sobrang mahal. A pair would cost about P1k after discount. Mahal pa rin pero matagal na ko naghahanap so kumagat na rin.
