Hi,
I just happend to encounter this website and the forums, was browsing to some of the topics, they are very helpful... but i couldn't find what i need to know.;)
I would like to ask if there are different shapes of PVC/steel pipes available here in the Philippines. like Hexaganol or Octagonal or Square pipes.? i search the net and interestingly enough they have those in the U.S. if they are available here, where can i buy them?.. I asking because, i have a custom project, and i think those will be best to use.
Another question, what is the best adhesive to use for joining PVC materials, flat pvc?
Hope you guys can help.
Thanks!!

Re: PVC/ Steel pipes - questions
hi Domino welcome to the forum
try calling Neltex, Imperial, and Lucky. www.eyp.ph is the quickest way to find their contact details 🙂
in my experience at my workplace, these companies WILL customize pipe fittings BUT at an exhorbitant cost. Those shapes as far as i know doesnt exist in the Philippine market but they might be willing to customize.
Their additional cost is far too much for a single entity to consume and shoulder. it is only economically sound if its in volume
this is as far as i know for the local producers since we get a fair bit of pipes from them at the farm i work at.
As for imported variants... hmmm wait awhile maybe some forum members here know some place. Usually if its hard to find, it might exist in the Manila - Binondo area. If its not there, then most likely there really isnt any available in the market
Cheers!

Re: PVC/ Steel pipes - questions
Thanks sir beebeenator and grei-archer for the quick reply... will try gettting intouch with those you recommended.
oh I forget to tell you, my project is really small.. what i would need probably is about 2 inches in diameter and 1-2 feet length pipe. it will be the base/frame of the project. i will be cutting and drilling holes into it. and will be attaching some materials as well. lets just say its like a science project. and if it will be successful i will be mass producing it.
Thanks again guys!
i heard industrial grade Cyanoacrylate adhesives are good to use in bonding pieces of pvc, or any type of plastic and even engineering plastic together. is these true? are the same as superglue or mighty bond? are there any other we can use to bond?
thanks!
