Re: ready mix concrete

hmm... with that volume, I don't know whether you'd have any luck. I am assuming you're looking for ready-mix to save you the hassle of mixing the cement yourself or paying masons?

Safety first - always wear face/eye/ear/hand protection as a minimum.

Re: ready mix concrete

That's roughly a quarter of a cubic meter, I highly doubt if you can get a ready mix plant to serve you. It is still advisable to do Job-mix for that volume. HTH!

Re: ready mix concrete

thanks for the inputs. is 1 cubic meter the minimum for most concrete companies? im having trouble computing for cubic meter equivalent, i forgot to mention thats is a 4" slab with 12x12" footings.

Re: ready mix concrete

Please correct me guys but wouldn't the 4m x 6m x 4" be 2.4cubic meters in total?

What I did just multiply all the 3 dimesions and came up with 2.4 as value, am I missing something?

4m x 6m x [4in(2.54)/100] = 2.4384cu.m

try the yellow pages, dunno if TopCrete is in your area too so you could ask them what's their minimum.

My Bad!! My math teachers would be mad as hell if they find out I made that mistake in computation. you were right it should be 2.4 cu.m. A significant quantity IMHO. I would still go for Job Mix for that quantity though. Ideally with a 1 bagger mixer.

Re: ready mix concrete

Nah, its ok sir opzuk4x4. The reason why I asked is I'm interested if there was any special consideration into this kind of computations thus I cant get the previous value.

Anyway, at least we get to know the correct one in the end. Cheers!

Good luck to sir twisted!
