Hi, I would like to ask help to determine the cheapest option for me.

I am building a 2 storey house with 7m x 10m dimensions (140 sqm total).

There are reference rates on OLX for both options. However, I do not know how much I need of both to calculate total cost.

Here is a sample of the rates:

Scaffolding for RENT (H-Frame)
P800/set per month
Galvanized Iron(rustproof) H-Frame scaffolding for rent.
Thickness: Schedule 40
Height:1.7m
Width:1.2m
1 set is Inclusive of 2 cross braces and 4 connecting pins
catwalk(platform), caster wheels are rented separately.

Shoring jacks are P100/pc/day

Coco lumber ranges from P100 - P140/pc depending on size. Free delivery for 500 pcs.

Anybody who knows how much of either of the materials mentioned above, can you please share?

Thank you.

Both will be very useful in the construction of your house, the scaffolding and the coco lumber. Having your own scaffolding would be the best and it will last you a long long time. I am saying this based on my experience. Coco lumber ay nabubulok or nauubos depende sa pag gamit ng contractor, kantero at karpintero. When I had my house built many years back, I use both but then I keep on buying coco lumber kasi umiiksi every time the karpinteros would cut them to their specific length and so on and so forth.

Since I know how to weld, I decided to make my own scaffoldings and up to now I still have and used them when repairs are needed or lights have to be replaced inside or outside of the house, (have a high ceiling house).

I don't think you will be using that much coco lumber with 7m X 10m dimensions.
If by any chance you know a contractor or an architect who would be willing to give some assistance, you can probably ask them if they can do some computations or estimates on what you want to know.

Thanks Rosy, a contractor can definitely give me the answers. I guess i'm a bit over eager and just doing my homework early as I am still in the plan drawing stage. Having a bit if difficulty with my draftsman and contact at the city engineers office, thus delaying my timetable. Offhand, if you see that I will not be using much coco lumber, then i guess right now that is the way to go. I don't really have any use later for pipe scaffolds, as I am just after finishing my house. Disposal of the coco lumber afterwards is a concern, but with the construction ongoing in other lots within the subdivision, i think it would be easy for me to donate them .

I think it’s best to pay knowledgeable people for such help and not to work yourself. Indeed, now real estate agencies can help find housing and those who have a Real Estate License on the site https://www.expacting.com/en/blog/real-estate/how-long-does-it-take-to-get-real-estate-license , and various architectural companies can make repairs in the apartment
