Can anyone tell the standard size(s) of concrete hollow blocks and metal roofing panels in the Philippines, particularily in Mindanao? I also need the cost of wood roof trusses, probably mahagony wood, approximately 20 ft (6 meter) span.
I'm going to build a CHB house with metal roof of my in-laws. This will be on a concrete slab, approximately 20ft (6 meters) by 30ft (9 meters). I need a few more item costs to estimate the cost for the basic structure so I can see what the total cost will be.
Re: Size and cost of CHB and metal roof panels
The costs will vary greatly for wooden trusses, depending not just on the length, but also their depth and spacing. Best to look at your plans, and post. We can estimate the number of bd ft per truss, and you can multiply by the prevailing cost of wood in your area. Cost of wood varies throughout the country. May be cheaper in Mindanao.
GI roofing is available in various lengths, but will cover only around 75 cms width. Cost is per linear foot, and I do not have the latest cost with me.
Concrete hollow blocks are normally 4,5 or 6 inches thick with the normal length of 40 cm and a depth of 20 cm.

You should consider first the availability of the said materials in the place. The size is about 4 feet to 30 feet, you need to inquire on your local hardware store for available stocks. The price is about $4.50 per sq foot, it might vary depending on the quality of the roof and manufacturer. Roofing Companies
