Does anyone know if Tapcons are available in the Philippines, if so where can i order or buy them, they are self tapping concrete screws, they are always blue in color and the drill bit comes in the box, they are used in the construction industry in the US, i want to screw marine plywood to cement floor, i have used them and they really hold and it is fast way to attach wood or metal to cement or blocks

Re: Tapcons

HI there bro,

I am not so familiar with Tapcon screws so I Googled it a while back, so it is just a type of screw usually used to fasten wood or metal to concrete. What I am familiar here are expansion bolts and lag screws with sleeves which are also embedded on concrete and then inserting the counterpart screws to fasten the material needed to be attached. These are popular here and are recommended by contractors or builders.

Anyway there is a possibility that this Tapcon screws are available here, possibly at home depots here in Manila or some industrial/hardware stores in the Binondo area.

Let's wait for other who are into construction here to chime in, they might know exactly where these are available. 😉 🙂

Re: Tapcons

If you can wait about 2 months, better to ship them via seavessel instead of airfreight. I use this cargo forwarder: http://www.forexworld.us/

Reliable and inexpensive.
