I thought its best to start a new thread.

A friend of mine is giving me woods ( not exactly give, I will pay him but very minimal ) The woods are 3"x8x"60" according to him, Some maybe smaller, the 3"x8x"60" are roughly 15 pcs. by his description its colored brown (not really sure) I still need to see the woods maybe this coming weekend. Do I need permit for this?

Re: Transporting of woods.

kung dito sa Manila, wala cguro maging problema, sa probinsya malamang kung meron checkpoint ng DENR na madaanan.

Re: Transporting of woods.

My friend send me photo's of the woods, it looks like reclaimed woods. Am I right that I do not need any permit to transport these?

Re: Transporting of woods.

You're correct, you won't need a permit to transport dried old and reclaimed wood. In a DENR check point, what they are very strict about are newly harvested cut logs and they can easily spot and identify them. 😉

Re: Transporting of woods.

Just as I thought rosy, I'm sure those mortises won't lie :bleh:

By the way any chance of spotting what kind of lumber are those. Its heavy and brown.. I think its originally from stair or some sort.

I get a good look at the woods, I recon I get get a 3x8x5' 15pcs. and the small ones are 3x4x2'.

Re: Transporting of woods.

Sorry Boggieman, can't identify those lumber, better you ask your friend who sent you the photos, he might know what kind or type of wood are those. Who knows, it might be an old acacia, narra or whatever.

Enjoy them woods/lumber if you will be getting them !! ;):jazzysax:

Re: Transporting of woods.

My reclaimed wood finally arrive :D, I haven't time to inspect it yet, but I did a quick measurement, for the bigger one its almost a 100 board feet.

It looks like firewood 🙁 but boy I can't hardly lift one.

Re: Transporting of woods.

I am very excited, there are couple of projects I have in mind right now. But for now best thing I can do is to file them up and stare 😀 to those big slabs. I am doing this for fun, one step at a time.
