test fit of motor mounting... i will be using a water pump motor... but the problem is it is turning in the wrong direction. so i will be mouting it on the left side instead of the normal right side.

Nick, ngayon ko lang nakita to, I hope the 2 inches MDF body can hold the tension...delikado bro. Before proceeding take time to test it by sitting on top of the body then check kung nag bow by measuring the height before and after sitting on it. This was the advise to me by Matthias Wandel but my massive 4 1/2" bandsaw body was strong enough to resist bowing during the test and when tensioned. Baka mag crack ang gilid, try to find a way to re-inforce it with square bars masyado malutong ang MDF, delikado Nick.

@ Armand
medyo malambot pa nga ang 2 inches thick na MDF... kaya ginawa ko nilagyan ko ng 1.5 x 1.5 inch na angle bar support sa likod... pagkalagay ko ng angle bars tigas na nya.

initial mounting ng wheels

initial testing with motor

after initial testing... found that the upper part of the bandsaw is vibrating around 3mm... so I placed a 1.5 x1.5 inch angle bars for support.
