thanks for today as i was able to make my clamp rack.

like i said to jay and ossie, i got 2 pieces of offcut 2" wide angle bar and thought of why not make use this scrap to make a sturdy clamp rack.

my old clamp rack is a made of two pieces of wood fastened together to make a right angle and fastened to the concrete wall via tox..eventually lost its anchor due to the weight of several pieces of bar clamps.

here are the materials..all scrap...
a piece of 24" 2 x 4 offcut when i made a door jamb...and two pieces of angle bars 2" wide.

removed the ripping blade and installed a 32 general purpose blade with much thicker blade kerf..if i am going to use the thin kerf blade i needed two passes to fit the thickness of the angle bar.

top view of the blade and the edge of the angle bar

adjusted the fence and blade height and installed the featherboard

Re: bar clamps rack

was scared to rip the recess in just two passes so i made four total.
it is nice to be scared though.that is our survival mechanism.
test fit...

i made further modifications by deepening the groove so the metal will be flushed to the wall.

test fit again and happy with the results

installed the two angle bars on both ends...fastened with 4 carriage bolts, two on each side, countersunk...applied sanding sealer two times and sanded in between coats.
here the clamp rack is fastened to the other side (which is not concrete) using four tex screws (for wood) and tightened using a ratchet since i have no more room for the drill's chuck.

you can get over your Jet na Doc. single pass for that cut should be safer than multiple ones. less chance kasi of binding. extended exposure kasi means extended risk din of a kickback...;)

Re: bar clamps rack

when the woodshop is done..ill probably close it down..baka madumihan! agh!

pang international?

me ganun?

hehe

thanks..pero mahirap pag wala wide angle lens...im stuck with my only 60mm fixed lens kasi. no money to buy an expensive UWA lens.

mejo malamig kasi sa mata mint green...sawa na ako sa white..madali makita kasi dumi.

but the real dust field will still be outside the house..where i will rip the boards..my small woodshop is meant to be the staging ground for drawing out plans.

Those Irwin Bar Clamps are my most used and Go To clamps for general use in the wood shop. Very convenient to operate. Highly recommended in my experience.

That's a lot of clamp weight in there. Now I know why you choose a metal base. Hybrid.

Re: bar clamps rack

very nice clamp rack, ang mga clamps ko kung saan saan nakakalat, yung pipe clamp, inaalis ko pa yung pipe, kasi nga walang rack...they really need a place to get organize...

Re: bar clamps rack

Salamat po for posting. May kokopyahin na naman hehe.

If you need another layer ng rack you can make one mga 12 inches below your current then in between the gaps of yourlong clamps puede mo isingit yung sorter clamps.

Just an idea.
