Got some excess plywood from my recent projects, so i decided to make a table and fence extension for my Ryobi 210mm CMS.

Started with the base by laminating 2 pcs of 1/2 ordinary plywood. Its going to be moved a lot around the shop so i designed a carry handle on the base.

cutting out the carrying handle and shape

Rounding off the corners

Re: CMS table and fence extension

would it look something like this brader?

those are very nice looking marking gauges, did you make them?
and please reduce picture sizes to 640x480 pixels... you can do this at photobucket also...

Re: CMS table and fence extension

Just a simple table and fence extension, Sir Timber. Its a 201mm CMS, so its limited cutting capacity.

Wanted it to have a more stable and wider fence/table to be able to clamp materials securely. Also, creating a zero clearance table/fence.

Had a little time off the computer today. Cutting out the shape for base handle on the rt.

Routing the 30 degree handle slope. Used the same bevel gauge to lay-out the angle on the rt miter gauge.

Yup, made those marking gauges couple of years ago. Its made of mahogany and wax finished.
Shaped and cut using hand tools only. Will post some details soon...

Re: CMS table and fence extension

Uploading a rendered picture of my plan. At 18 inches(L) x 5 1/2 inches (W) on each side, total of 4.5 sq/ft of support and clamping area.

Saturday....will be so busy wrapping up work and preparing my men's paycheck. Hopefully I can get back on Sunday and do the extensions.....

Pressure release connection ... looks like an easy fix . If not EY Industrial Sales in T. Alonzo St in Binondo has lots of Vespa parts.

Making rabbets and dadoes on the sliding fence

Test fit

Miter cut on the fence. This enables the fence to maintain a zero clearance against the blade in any angle
