Hello pinoyhandyman.com, I'm doing a project and the material that I use is PVC pipe. My concern is that whenever I color it with Bosny acrylic spray paint it tends to chip off when its dried up. I use sandpaper to sand the surface and then apply primer paint. After the primer is dry, I apply the color black bosny. When its dried up it tends to chip off when it bumps to other surfaces.

It requires a primer that should comply with the PVC pipe you are using. There rare Bumper paint primers and conditioners in Spray can form you can use. You can get them at Auto accessory shops like Concorde in SM malls. True value and Robinsons Handyman sometimes have them. If you can find some epoxy based primer in a can, spray it as if you are misting the work material initially to condition the PVC and the primer to fuse together. The work material doesn't have to be fully primed initially, just spray or mist every nook and cranny with a thin layer making the PVC still visible but with a light haze of film. Let the initial film dry for an hour then lightly sand if with a fine grit sand paper like 400 grit but with very light pressure. This conditions the work surface to make the next coat of primer adhere better and stronger. Always let the work piece dry for at least an hour or two between coatings. This makes each layer stronger and ready to accept the next coat. Good luck!
