Yeah. Was surprised how they priced it. Looks more to me that it should have been in the $30 to $40 range.

The tip on your tool Timber is kamagong?
sa website ng formaply may ebony daw sila.. but i dont think they have stock. ebony is probably as hard as kamagong. According to my book its 1140kg per cubic meter. Thats denser than water... it wont float 🙂

that was the one I gave Violaine, I made a smaller one which I always use and is made entirely of Goncalo Alves.
Not really sure of it's density, but seems to be as hard as kamagong. I used these very hard wood so I can make the tip as thin as I can without flex.

This was made using narra from a salvaged floor plank from a stash taken from my Father in Law. he's got lots of old narra from his former house. These things are older than me.. Older than me counting from the day they became planks 🙂 But i have my doubts that its narra and may just be heartwood mahogany? i still cant tell the difference
