Re: my router table build.

not good about electronics,

luckily, a friend taught me where to connect the wires correctly.

used those leftover wires...

and mount to the space provided...

Re: my router table build.

many things to do these x-mas holiday,
kaya, stop muna temporarily yung rt build.

many things to follow pa,
like the t-tracks for the fence,
and i've been planning to put miter slot,
to secure the plug for the router itself,
and also to coat it with stain and poly finish.

as of this moment,
the table top are not yet fix to the body,
might encounter some problems pa.
here's the rough rt build...

Nice progress brother Jon. I'm not that sure but I hope the yellow wire is more than capable on handling the current.

Re: my router table build.

Looking good, Jon. Been lurking in your thread and find the build very interesting.

Ditto on the gauge of the wires. But that should be an easy problem to solve (if indeed it is a problem at all).

How are those Creston casters?

Re: my router table build.

jayL,

V,

ang lamig nga...ang sarap mag ww at mw...

walang glide lahat ang drawer V,
first time to build such a simple drawer,
kaya hindi na ako nag-atubili pang lagyan ng glide
baka masayang lang.
planning to put my d-handle router and cs sa big drawer.
hoping it can carry such load.

jarod,

yes, thanks for the comment,
been waiting for some electric comments..
wala kasing nag-titingi dito sa amin ng dodge - phelps ( hope i'm right with the name ) brand.
kaya yun , i push through with my thickest flat cord...

any advice on what wires to use?
should i go on with the dodge phelps ?
meron bang dodge phelps na flat cord ?

balarila,

about the wires, yes madali pa naman i-solve yung problem.
just remove the drawer ang the cover of the power switch,
tsaka hindi pa naman naka fix yung table top,
puede pang ma-solusyonan.
about the casters ?
they are doing fine, smooth naman.
they are 2 1/2" , with 100 lbs load rate...
i'm hoping they are fine...

thanks guys...
hoping that someday i'll be improving my electrical know- how,
frankly, electricity is what i fear the most...:burn:

cheap drawer handle...

Nice progress Jon on your router table..

The other day I was also tempted to buy this handles for my 5 boxes but being an extreme DIYer I changed my mind coz i just wanted to do it na lang..here's what i produced using my micro bandsaw.
walang glide lahat ang drawer V,
jon, mukhang mataas yung placement ng knob kasi sa biggest drawer..eventually baka bumigay yung handle kasi pag hinila, wala sa center of gravity..lalo yung heavy d handle router ang ilalagay mo.

just a thought..i could be wrong.

Re: my router table build.

armand,

very nice bro, anung wood gamit mo, am puti kasi...
nakakabighani....wow legs !!!

first plan ko talaga ay shopmade,
kaso ang bagal ng progress ng build ko, kaya bumili nako ng ready-made...

V,

oh i see...
made the drawer pull align sa kabilang drawer,
for aesthetics, kung baga...
that's why the place...
i'll consider your thoughts, kasi mahirap ngang hilahin yung drawer ( during the test )...
i'll check the master's drawer pull handles kung saan nakalagay,
then i'll change the location...
thanks very much...
