Re: my router table build.

v,

i just checked the drawer pull's location...
and you're correct,
most of them place the drawer pull at the center of the drawer ( checked timber's, chisel's rt )
i'll change it's location as soon as i have the time for my rt build...
thanks V...

Re: my router table build.

Re your question about wires and Phelps Dodge: Yes, that brand is available locally. You can get the THHN type which would be thin (easy to put into a conduit) and has good heat resistance.

Some good discussion here: http://pinoyhandyman.com/showthread.php?t=248
Also, Phelps Dodge site is here: http://www.phelpsdodge.com.ph/Word%20Documents/THHN.pdf

I got mine from Ace but I think they're also easily available in hardware shops.

Gauge 12 is P30 per meter in a nearby hardware store, P3450 per box (150 meters).

Wilcon and others sell them at P33/meter, even if you buy the whole box.

thanks very much sir ding...
very big help tong wire thread na to.

what concerns me most is this locally available flat cord that i put,
it has a very thick rubber insulation,
but the wire strands are thin and easily loosens and cut out.
poor quality as it may seem.

reviewing my rt electrical connections;
i'll be plugging my 1850 watts (3612c ) router to a seperately but encased circuit breaker
rated at 20A ( koten brand ).
then connect it to the on/off switch,
through which i used this flat cord to connect to our home outlets.

gusto ko na tuloy palitan yung flat cord ko ng phelps dodge wire...:eathis:

(sorry for the dodge phelps )

Re: my router table build.

@jon,

i bought the same size locking casters as yours...and i am not really happy moving the rt around..i guess bigger wheels are much free wheeling than smaller ones but my router table is in series already in terms of height with the TS..so i guess i have to live with it..unless i snatch some free time to cut the rt legs!

😀

you know what, there is this idea of mine and been cooking it all this time why not we publish a bi annual magazine about woodworking...(rosy and jay will handle the metalworking section or well..another magazine;))

it is no longer a thought...its now an obsession:eek:

so please document your wips using a lot of pictures...in this age of digital cameras, we dont worry about films anymore.

i hope by late early 2013, we can have the first edition.

jarod will be the editor in chief...timber will be the chief shop carpenter/tool test editor..moji the chief designer...

well its just a list...oops i forgot..Jay will be the publisher!

ahahhahahahahahaha!

well you could assign work for ernie...willy...bigfoot...i ran out of ideas now eh.

eh ikaw jon...bahala ka muna sa balot!

ako? hmm....lay out editor na lang po!

Re: my router table build.

continuing my rt build ...
can't find phelps dodge flat cord,
but i found a locally made flat cord ( philflex )
but of good quality ( i think ) than the first one i used...

this will be the electrical outlet of the router...

then i temporarily fixed ( screwed ) the top to the body.
