Re: My workbench build (Jonathancruz)

[IMG] [/IMG]this is my first workbench.almost everything pertaining to woodworking from sawing(as you can see the saw marks),fastening, gluing, planning to finishing, i do it here in this wb.this is one heavy duty workhorse.it is made of 4x4 legs and 2x4 frame and a recycled panel door(actually it's our main door being replaced)as it's table top.underneath i made it as storage area for my scrap wood.this is how versatile my wb is....until i decided to make a new workbench.since i am very new in planing and complicated jointing like tongue and groove and mortise and tenon,i make this project as starting ground to upgrade as well as hone my skills...i have decided to make an old fashioned with traditional look of a WB.it will be sturdy, with pair of vises the face and tail vise and a big storage underneath.here's my workbench "works in progress"bear with me in doing this project...

Re: My workbench build (Jonathancruz)

after checking for the squareness of the legs with it's lower rail,i prepare a pair of 2x6 to be used as stretcher and cut a notch on top of each leg to recieve the top rail.
