My workbench build (Jonathancruz)

to start on my wb wips again.i used a plunge router with 3/4 diameter straight bit and straight guide to create a 3/4 long tongue on each edge of the glued panels.

forgot to take pics,i flip the table over to make another pass to complete the tongue.

on the rt,i create a groove into the left and right end cap, this serves as the mating surface of the panels tongue.

nice aprons Jon, consider recessing the front vise before glue-up, that is if you intend to have one...

now the hardest part of the process,the tail vise(screw vise) installation.

drilling a hole appropriate to the diameter of rhe screw vise.i use hole saw in this process(sorry no pics)

with a pattern bit,drill a 3/4 deep multiple pass groove 6" apart .this is to make consistent dog holes in the workpiece.as you see,the jig will ride into the workpiece,i fastened the jig with a 1" finishing nail.and screwed it into the workpiece.
