Re: My workbench build (Jonathancruz)
to start on my wb wips again.i used a plunge router with 3/4 diameter straight bit and straight guide to create a 3/4 long tongue on each edge of the glued panels.
Re: My workbench build (Jonathancruz)
routed and then the result
Re: My workbench build (Jonathancruz)
Re: My workbench build (Jonathancruz)
forgot to take pics,i flip the table over to make another pass to complete the tongue.
Re: My workbench build (Jonathancruz)
on the rt,i create a groove into the left and right end cap, this serves as the mating surface of the panels tongue.

now the hardest part of the process, the tail vise(screw vise) installation.
Re: My workbench build (Jonathancruz)

Re: My workbench build (Jonathancruz)
it's the dog runs turn na.making a jig for the dog holes.
Re: My workbench build (Jonathancruz)
Re: My workbench build (Jonathancruz)
with a pattern bit, drill a 3/4 deep multiple pass groove 6" apart .this is to make consistent dog holes in the workpiece.as you see,the jig will ride into the workpiece,i fastened the jig with a 1" finishing nail.and screwed it into the workpiece.
Re: My workbench build (Jonathancruz)
this are the grooves for the dog holes.
