Sir, what's the best economical design for our external roof ceiling - overhang / eaves? I plan to use hardiflex, not spandrels. Which is more durable and economical? kindly help me with the basics of design so the carpenters have a standard plan / pattern and not guess. It's very hard to find people who are knowledgeable , kindly help us with the basics of this.
Maraming salamat po.

boneruiz, i have a similar problem, i need to find a replacement for materials to use as overhangs for my house that is in construction right now. the design calls for concrete overhang for the main door, kitchen door, and some of the windows. i told my foreman to scrap it as its time consuming to setup. i'm also looking for materials that will replace the concrete overhangs, easy to install, and still be in synch with the concrete block "lego" 🙂 design of the house ... i saw a product at citi hardware for an overhang made of, i think, of fiberglass in the shape of roofing sheets but i don't like the design as its oval and what i need is one with a flat design. what i plan to do is customize a flat material as a replacement for the concrete overhang ... i hope the feedback from this thread will give me some ideas of the materials to use ... cheers

if money is easy..id go for hardwoods for beauty..i cannot skimp on the eaves and i thank God the metal spandrels were invented....hardiflex is not forever and is plywood too..both arent cheap by my standards...

PVC is expensive too...

still the best, economical are the spandrels..it can last for a long long time imho
