Can you please explain for the benefit of the viewers what that small belt is for and what will it do or how will it function sa super dooper RT built mo ? Pasensya na po sir kasi wala pa ako nyang TRITON router na yan e at hindi pa ako naka kagamit nyan. Naka kainis nakita ko na naman Triton na yan, ang ganda, tulo laway na naman.

The knob (that used to be there) adjusts the height of the router bit. Think blade height adjustment on the table saw. So instead of reaching under the table to turn the knob, pindot-pindot na lang. Whiiiiirrrrr!! 😎
I think that knob is for the coarse adjustment. The fine adjustment knob is the one with the Triton logo, which can also be adjusted above the table:
Its not advisable to motorize the micro-adjuster because the shaft is made of nylon and might be damaged with too much use, like one reviewer in Amazon experienced:

it`s not a stepper motor masyado high tech na un is just a 24 dcv with gear i don`t know the ratio of gear . I bought this last 1997 pa sa raon malapit sa akihabara papunta sa dating fire department ng ongping marami kasing surplus na electronic parts motor and box fan. yan pa ung mga dati kong project sa mini lathe machine na binubuo ko noon pero napagsawaan ko na hehehe..
before i decide to modify my triton i studied first the router where i should mount the motor or where the gear motorize lift works on the plunge router and pwede ko sya ibalik sa dating original na router .. and then i found the micro winder which is a perfect to mount the gear belt motor and then check the mechanical parts of micro winder found that are all stainless steel parts except ung knob .. i think ung review ng amazon last 2008 pa siguro binago na ng manufacturer ung design ng triton hehehe its good thing that feedback is a big help for the manufacture the design can change by means of feedback review........ and then remove ko nga pala ung plunge spring para less ung weight later i will post pa ....... :thanks:

Joey, Yan na yung fine adjust knob, Ryobi will have to adjust the rack and pinion handle for large steps when he needs to raise them high.
Ryobi, brader tama ka about the correction on the gearing of the Triton. kaya lang limited travel and fine adjust so ingat lang ng konti. pag sumagad kasi (on either end, up or down) there will be no more adjustment. IIRC around 5/8" lang ang travel ng fine adjust on either side or a full 1 1/4" from top to bottom or vise versa. Which is huge btw for any routing needs na motorized.
Congrats on the mod, I do hope it works fine though mas maganda kung stepper motor nga gamit mo, mas controlled kasi movement.
Try mo to put a round over bit and adjust correctly with the motor. kung magawa mo mag adjust to the dot. perfect na yan....
