My working bench always seems to get filled with tools and cans when ever I work, and I always end up moving these tools to other tables to accommodate large panels and avoid pushing my tools of the table.
So I made this Tool Stand/Mini Bench to free up my bench and also a stand for my CMS and bench grinder.
Sorry no WIPS for this one. I made it in about 3 hours of work, sifting thru my plywood scraps...
Its a design I found in Wood magazine's Best-Ever Home Shop Ideas Fall 2011. I wanted a trestle style leg instead of a caster type.
Extra storage space on the sides

Most gloatworthy to me too was that it was made in 3 hours!?!!!
Quick and dirty in terms of assembly, but it makes stuff orderly. Very utilitarian, but the proportions make it handsome too. Nice niche on the sides, suitable for aerosol cans or clamp rack =).
Re: Tool Stand/Mini Bench
Agreed ... that will be a real space saver. Vertical rise hehehhehhe.
I've also started to have space constraints in my shop now. My strategy is to put wheels and casters on builds whenever I can. Tables, carts, stands, shelves and what nots. I could reconfigure the space allotments easily depending on the job I will do.

Yes Sir Owyn, it was quick and dirty due to pre-cut scraps from my glass cabinet project.
I had 6 pieces of 3 inches x 8 feet (sides and feet), 2 pcs. 13 inches x 8 feet (shelves, top and bottom) and a 3x4 ft panel (cut in half for the top)
All I had to do was run it thru the table saw for uniform widths and then thru the CMS for lengths.
Sandwiched the trestle style legs with glue, clamp up and drove 2 inch wood screws so I dont have to wait for it to dry.
The top is 17 1/2 only instead of 18 inches. I trimmed 1/4 inch to level both boards. Added hardboard top for more durable surface.
