I like the idea but my workspace doesn't. That is also one of the main reason why I cannot purchase a TS as well 🙁

eto brader, pwede kung ayaw mo ng ts. Plunge/Tracksaw (hope you understand German, though video speaks for itself) , maglalabas na Bosch soon....

brader, you might not need the plunge saw, but the track along with any compatible cs will work as well. so technically, it is soooo much cheaper than a ts...
eto catalog, convert mo na lang cost.... D&M you can also move to the next page to see the plunge saw kit... :thumbup:

Tingin ko baka gumawa na lang ako ng DIY track saw. Pero mas trip ko gamitin yung Makita SH01, para ala ruler and cutter style lang. Problem lang is very minimal yung availability ng 3 3/8" circular saw blades.

Joey, in this picture the ts fence side is on the support side table

do you plan to extend the fence mount? kasi if your cut capacity is 25", without making modifications sa fence mount, it will still have a 25" cut capacity...

The fence's locking mechanism is fairly simple: iniipit lang yung table top. The initial plan was to make RT the same depth as the TS top. This way I can also make the fence lock on the router table.

Later I realized that the RT would be too small if I stuck with that plan. Now I'm going to make the RT bigger. And for the TS fence I'm thinking of making one based on the T-square principle. Quick setup time, provided of course that the front edge of the RT is straight and perpendicular to the TS blade.

goodluck on the build specially the fence mod, please make sure it would be very secure. This will not only cut your nails... keep safe.

Was able to spend time on the project today.

Marking the outline and bend lines.
