started by cutting a piece of HDF floorboard to be used...

I drilled the base of my CS and tapped it with the same screws that I will be using ...

I later transferred the hole locations to the ZC plate...

I then attached the plate to the base using stainless screws and clamped to the workbench...

Re: Zero Clearance for my Circular Saw

clamps both the front and back of the CS plate making sure the blade will not hit anything once lowered...

slowly lower the blade to make the initial cut...

on the scrollsaw, I cut out a portion that will allow the blade guard to be available for use...

and it does work...

Re: Zero Clearance for my Circular Saw

on the router table, I removed the excess material...

it does look good now...

let us go a bit further and round over the edges wit a 1/8" bit. applied wax, now it is complete and ready for use.....

Re: Zero Clearance for my Circular Saw

sweet

i was thinking that in order to be able to use the guide rail. I will add the same thickness material (same thickess as the guiderail) to the narrow side of the CS

why is it that Timber makes everything look so easy 🙂

Re: Zero Clearance for my Circular Saw

hehehe, it took me a very long time before I drilled the base bee. and Jay, this is a new zero clearance plate, the previous one got wet and is no longer flat since it was left exposed to the elements.

hehehe, have considered making a stand for the 2012NB thickness planner, but since I have one under the portable rt, I decided to make a new rt instead( full sized na ulit:))

had the plywood cut to size using the CS, and I can be proud to say that it had no tear out for both rip and cross cuts...

Re: Zero Clearance for my Circular Saw

here is the cut result on plywood...

what I found unusual is that the plywood is actually 3/4 thick to the dot...
