Paano ka nag palit ng transmission oil? Did you use a machine ( ATF transmission Fluid Exchanger ) or nag drain ka lang then re fill?

Walang machine na ginamet sir e. Binuksan lang nila yun tank ng ATF sa ilalim, drain yun Automatic tranmission Fluid, nilinis yun cover ng tank, pinalitan yun filter, tapos nag-refill ng ATF..

Sabe nun mechanic, baka may sira na daw yun transmission ko. E diba pag may sira yun hinde na dapat aandar yun oto?

huh..tagal ng 10 mins ha! mga 1/4 liter ng gas na naubos mo pala...

pede ka pa pala maligo before ka sumakay at umarangkada..

hmm problem nga yan....mukhang kelangan ng major operation...

lets wait for the masters to chime in bka small tweaking lang kelangan pla.

First of all, did this occured only after that transmission oil change or before pa?
I hope saving some bucks to have it serviced in the wrong place would not cost way more than having it done in the proper shop....

Matagal na syang ganun sir. Galing kasi itong oto sa utol ko e, at sa casa din siya nagpapa maintain dati. Pinalitan lang din nun casa yun ATF before, at hinde rin na-solve yun problem. Tapos ang tagal pa ng waiting time sa casa ng Ford, more than a week ka mag-aantay, kaya sa Rapide na lang kami nagpapagawa ngayon.

Ok lang naman saken mapagastos ng mejo mahal, kasi halos libre ko lang naman nakuha yun oto e. Basta ma-solve lang sana finally yun problem. Ang ayaw ko lang yun nanghuhula yung mekaniko,kaya nagtanong na muna ako dito bago ko magpagawa. May alam ba kayong shop na magaling sa automatic transmission? Within QC area sana. Salamat

i have similar problem problem years back ,,parehong pareho sa your situation,,i am able to use the car for another week then decided it to have it check by a friend at banawe for an repair estimate..while at the corner kaliraya at D.Tuazon car instal unable to shift although in drive mode..luckily im near to an automatic transmission shop...A.M. Bulaong located in #34 Kaliraya St. Banawe..Have there crew push the car and pull down it..They said they can repaiir it but would take 3 days and they need to replace some sort of a clutch disk inside like an spacer na yupi na and they show some sample there because that time they were overhauling similar transmission. But they made a tempting offer for 18k (new cost 40k - repair cost 12k) of a surplus one install in an hour and i decided to get one since i need to get out of town the next morning that was dec 23 i remember..so far 2 years still working pa..Share info lng po!

usually sa automatic transmission, kapag kulang ka sa ATF, hindi talaga kaagad tatakbo ang kotse mo.

wala bang history yung kotse na nag le-leak yung ATF?

paano sya ni refill ng mekaniko? sinukat yung dating ATF after i drain tapos ganun din kadami ang inilagay?

wala ba syang transmission check plug? doon mo malalaman kung tama ang level ng ATF mo po.

I'm very particular with Automatic Transmission maintenance knowing how costly this can be when problems arise.

I do the regular ATF oil change but always have it done using an Automatic Transmission Fluid Exchanger machine. My choice of shop is Autoteknika at the Fort but other shops would also have such a machine too. I believe I pay 1K for the service. I do buy the ATF myself and I make sure I always use OEM fluid.

If I was in your position I'd probably try this route first if you have not done so yet.

OK,I have a question too regarding the ATF maintenance discussions, just for additional knowledge.

How often does a car owner have to refill or replace his car's ATF, is it every year or every two years or after three years?? I think my jeep needs an ATF change.

Cge sir, daan din ako dun. May iba pang suggestions saken na shops e, puntahan ko na lang sila lahat to see what they have to say. After na ko magdedecide kun saan ko pagawa. Baka sakali may matutunan pa ko at ma-share dito 🙂

Yun pa pala isang question ko: may clutch disc ba ang matic sir?

Almost a year na ang sakit itong oto, awa ng diyos di pa naman ako tinitirik. Yun lang talaga problem nya, kailangan painitin. Pinatagal ko ng almost a year kasi bagong palit lang yun ATF nya sa casa nun nakuha ko, sayang naman kun papabuksan ko agad yun transmission.

Ouch sir! 40K pag brand new yun spare part? Wag naman sana ganun sira nitoh, pero papa-check ko na ren. Salamat sa advice. Maganda nga sana magpagawa sa banawe. Madaming magaling.. Kaso, madami din daw manloloko dun e.. Sana may kilala din ako dun para alam ko kun sino mga maayos kausap. Salamat ule, sinulat ko na adress nun shop na pinagawan mo.

May dipstick yun ATF ng oto ko, similar sa dipstick ng engine oil. Parehas din yun process ng pag check ko at pagpalit ng ATF: drain, replace filter, then refill.. Wala naman leak yun ATF sir, yun unang pina-check ko bago binuksan yun tank ng ATF e.

Pano ang process pag gumamit ng Fluid exchanger machine? Sa experience ko kasi, kailangan talaga i-open yun tank ng atf para mapalitan din yun filter na nasa loob e. Pag binuksan naman yun tank, tatapon na agad yun ATF. Baket kaya necessary yun machine?

Sabe ng mekaniko, once a year daw dapat magpalit ng ATF e. May dipstick naman para ma-check yun level ng ATF, so i guess add na lang when needed in between changes. Then again, baka sabe lang nun mekaniko yun para bumalik ako sa kanya every year.

One more thing, sa Reverse umaandar agad sya kahit bagong start lang yun engine. Sa Drive lang hinde kumakagat agad, kaya nagtataka din yun mekaniko e. Hinde kaya electrical ang problem nitoh?

boss merong one-way clutch na tinatawag sa loob ng auto trans. Ito ay nasa loob ng torque converter. Pag defective ang clutch na ito maaaring di kumagat or mabagal kumagat sa gear ang transmission. Pag ito ang defective kelangan palitan ang torgue converter.

Kaso sa case mo wla kang issue sa reverse kamo. So baka hindi yung torque converter one way clutch ang problema. Ang hula ko baka nga electrical kase ang mga nagcocontrol ng mga shift valves o barbula sa loob ng auto trans ay mga solenoids. Baka defective ang mga solenoids.
