Is there a way to clean the headlight lens without having to dismantle it? I have some friends who have them clean, but they later have problems with moist because the lens were not properly sealed with silicon.

Thanks.

Re: Cleaning Headlight Lens

Head light cleaning should be done by a pro. As much as possible, the original sealant should not be removed. If you really have to remove the lens for cleaning, the sealant to use is not silicone. There is a specific type that releases at a certain temp.

I suggest you contact this guy from banawe who was also recommended by my co-members over at the Vios Club. They are a husband and wife team and are good at cleaning head lights and services most of the racer boys' cars around QC. I don't remember his name but his no. is 09174172915. He can also find difficult to get headlight assemblies, wiring harnesses and bulbs. You can also get good advice on mods.

Re: Cleaning Headlight Lens

Since I need this service... I tried reaching the number and got details from them and posted it in the shop directory. I'd appreciate any feedback from those who've tried them already. I'm assuming they're ok 'coz they're offering lifetime guarantee on their work.

Safety first - always wear face/eye/ear/hand protection as a minimum.
