For those thinking of LED brake lights, here is how I did mine:

It turns out the 3watt LED light bulb from CDR King can be driven using 12volts

I have a Fiesta sedan but your own brake lights should have a circuitry similar to this:

The LED heatsink is too wide to get into the existing hole

The solution:

As usual, my son Carlos helped by pressing the brake pedal.

Very nice tweak sir!
Aside from generic accomplishment satisfaction for us, compared with the old bulb light sir i presume, does it shine better? or brighter? any advantages coz i plan to tweak the same to my brake lights..TIA :thanks:

Thanks Sir!

The original bulb is a bit brighter taking into account the original uses 21 watts while this one 2watts only.

Advantages:
1. Uses less power which equates to less fuel consumption
2. High tech and higher model look - Altis has LED brake lights while the Vios does not.
3. up to 50,000 hours bulb life daw. What I believe is LED is more durable than filament type

Pwede siguro gumamit ng 5watts or 7watts LED light bulb para mas malakas pero myself medyo hesitant ako palakasin at baka makasilaw sa driver behind us.

I still plan to convert the third brake light to LED also.

You will notice the yellow and white strobes na sabay sa brake. LED na yun. Kaya kung safety and pag-uusapan, sufficient na sila.

Re: Ford Fiesta sedan LED brake light

Actually I have seen several cars in the metropolis who uses led lighting on their rear/break lights and they were not really that blinding, I find it much better using the ordinary 6V or 12V bulbs, malayo palang, kitang kita mo na mga brake lights nila when braking or stopping, maliwanag talaga.

So I guess it will be ok and cool if we see your Fiesta sedan Led brake lights blinking somewhere or posted here in the forum.

Just my personal observation on the first paragraph !

CHEERS to your brake lights make over, LOL πŸ˜€ πŸ˜‰ πŸ™‚

Re: Ford Fiesta sedan LED brake light

Great McGyver stuff!

You can also get some bar LED bulbs from DEECO or other electronic shops and, with some soldering, same result and less cost.
