hi,
i am fed up by constantly breaking vacuum hoses for my carb. i am always feeling intermittent rough idles w/ or w/o a/c almost every other month only to find out that i have a couple or more cracked vacuum hoses. i had those cheap ones bought at auto supplies and mall hardwares.
i was just wondering, where can i buy good quality vacuum hoses? i've asked mitsu casa and they just referred me to outside auto supplies. the shops such as atco, eldo, mitsuprime, etc. only have the cheap ones. the cheap ones are characterized by the soft body that when flexed "immediately" cracks, unlike the original hoses that takes years before they eventualy crack.
where can i find a good quality vacuum hose?
Re: good quality vacuum hose - where to buy?
alot of auto supply boasts that their vac hoses are japan made. ive seen pretty good ones but was not sure where its from. sometimes i feel that the branding is just sales pitch.
maybe you could try banawe and go to shops that specialize in your certain car make. like me for instance i drive a mazda powered car, i go to stores like mazford, fordmaster or autorama which specialize in ford mazda kia parts. they have pretty good parts in stock there.

you can also try going to japanese surplus shops. They have almost all kinds of hosts there in bunches of thin/thick rubbers, fat/thin tubes, curved ones. And with matching host clamps.! I think most of these although used are better than the brand new hosts theyre selling in local auto supplies. And these are all original parts taken from japanese cars.
I know this cus i already bought there. Actually i bought the curved ones since no one is selling curved hosts locally.

if price is not an object, try using silicon vaccuum hoses. it will last a long time. it is expensive but you can save in the long run.
