many factors to consider jay, if you will do all the jobs ( coz for all i know you have all the resources to do the job ) 30k is somewhat high,
pero kung palitin ang bumper, tapos yung alignment pa ng affected areas, ok na yung 30k...
another factors pa, yung may kasalanan,
napakamot na lang siguro ng ulo yung nakabuntot, kasi na double whammy siya, harap at likod ng auto nya ay sira...

actually met the same fate, bumped from behind, it was a family outing, car convoy, sudden stop, what was so sad was the car was only few weeks old, and what makes it more worst was the driver from behind was my bilas. walang money involved, insured naman daw yung kotse.

bumper was damaged, sent to kasa ( toyota Q C av ) replace daw yung bumper.
nung nakita yung resibo a whopping 80k 😮
i tell to myself, buti nalang naka-insured...

I think naka neutral siya so tumulak pa abante yun suv so walang naging masyadong damage sa kanya. However the cars sandwiched medyo nadamage talaga.

Siguro insurance but if they will give me 30K then in house ko na ito. I'm sure would cost lesser. Medyo matigas din body ng Toyota Rav4. Hopefully no mis alignment.

Thank God both are insured so medyo safe naman sa gastos 🙂 I just don't know about the 2 other vehicles in the back involved too. Total 4 vehicles in the mishap.

coming from toyota and honda as a service advisor, we would estimate that around 4.5K for the whole bumper including the wrap around for painting and around 1.5k for tinsmith work. now if the bumper needs replacement, painting charge lang since installation is included already. but that was year 2000, so 10K without bumper replacement is high already and insurance will pay less when done inside the casa.

check the rear door alignment and bumper mounts for misalignment Jay. you can also check or charge for rear wheel alignment just to be sure(which can be damaged with the impact)

Pag inabot naman talaga ng malas o...this happened last Monday morning in Balintawak just a few meters away from my ofc. A UST female 1st yr nursing student hit me on the right side with her brandnew Honda City. Obviously its her fault when she abruptly entered my lane trying to make a u-turn that is still 1 kilometer away. Even though she refused to sign a police report as instructed by her mother, everything was settled thru insurance.

The thing is the repair won't be finished this week. Kabwisit talaga!!!:mad:

Just look at the bright side, Armand. She could have been a high-powered executive with a deep bench of lawyers who could twist this event into your fault. I know this because it happened to me before. A taxi, realizing he needed to make a left-turn far too late, swerved into my lane, running over two pylons in the process, and my right front fender came into contact with his rear right bumper.

The owner then tried to twist things by saying I hit the cab and wanted me to pay for damages to the taxi. I ended up winning the argument but not without a lot of grief.

A few months ago my '97 Civic was bought by the insurance company. Reason: leaf spring came in contact with the radiator.
