guys need help on ideas or experiences with undercoat. whats the best undercoat, how to apply it(DIY)?

diy style, have your underchassis cleaned in the nearest gas station. when you get home, allow the vehicle to cool down. do some minor cleaning and let it dry. use turco on some rusted portions. you have several options on applying undercoat. mask the painted body panels if you'll be doing spray
1 - buy spray can undercoating.
2 - buy gallon of undercoating and apply using (1) roller (2) brush (3) compressor
for thinning, just use kerosene

How much would be the estimated cost on the materials to use?
Recently, nagtanong ako sa isang Petron station, P2,300 and singil nila kasama na yung underwash.
If the difference would just be a few hundreds, I'll just have it done in the shop than DIY.
