Re: Automated Programmable Exhaust Fan

Thanks, I'm reading a lot about arduino and I'm still planning to get gizduino or tinkduino since the latter is a cheaper clone.

Wow, controlling by internet will blow my mind if I get it to work. I would probably need a wifi shield for that right? I will definitely look into that.

I've been reading up on c++ (my brain is at its max capacity) but I still have to look up raspberry pi... which one is better for a beginner?

Does anyone know any electronics shops (like e-gizmo, dynamodo, mytinkbox) in or near calamba?

Yes, I have watched some tutorials on youtube, haven't not finished watching all of them though, the ones by Jeremy Blum and OpenSourceHardwareGroup is very helpful... as for the arduino clone, aceduino looks good, but not much info on it, gizduino has more demos...

Re: Automated Programmable Exhaust Fan

For motion sensing, I love using PIR motion sensors...

It can just trigger a 555 timer to turn on the fan for a predetermined amount of time after it ceases to sense motion.

i too have this issue in our house (just completed the structure a few weeks back) which my wife insisted that i fix it ASAP ... same with @hardbuteasy, the first thing that came to my mind is how to automate it as part of my home automation project ... but after some serious analysis, coupled with my wife constant reminder, a simple solution was to simply connect the exhaust fan to the bathroom light switch ... problem solve and my wife was happy with the solution 🙂 he he he ... cheers

Boo!
