Re: DIY Exodus Computer Case Modding
May I suggest that you take out the motherboard or else it will be 'contaminated' by the dust, and sanding debris etc.,
Question: why are you doing this, when new PC cases are very inexpensive. Is this a special case purchased in the U.S. or Europe with features that are not available here ?
Cheers.
Re: DIY Exodus Computer Case Modding
@tscotom,
thanks for the suggestion, its a defective board that i havent repair yet coz i already bought replacement since its serves me well for more than 5 years. i only test fitted the motherboard because i relocated that board tray on the casing.
to answer your question, its like a pimp my case thingie. and not a special case at all, its Exodus generic casing that you can buy i think for only P200 hehe im not after if its generic or branded or something so expensive, its the way how we do it. this will also be painted with anzahl inside and out afterwards 🙂
DIY is priceless.
suggestion and comments are always welcome 🙂

Re: DIY Exodus Computer Case Modding
Sir tyaga niyo nga...hirap pa naman mag-cut ng acyrlic...if you're not really skilled enough...but I bet you have the right skilled...saw your cut....goodluck...
Re: DIY Exodus Computer Case Modding
I presume you cut the round corners with a drill and a circle cutter then cut the straight lines manually or did you have it laser cut ? nicely done as I use to mod before. In fact I still use my modded Antec 900 to run my overclocked quad 6600 (runs 3.5ghz for use to watch youtube:D) and is air cooled...

cpu case modding is a simple way of expressing ones self, is really is very easy until you want complication in your life. Having something that only you have is also pleasing, unless of course you want what others have too.
and if you can buy what you want or need, then why DIY? also not everything we want is available for sale...

I also assembled my own Q6600 on Asus PK5E running RAID on the drives. Built three years ago but never overclocked it. Hmmm... You're giving me ideas...
Nice modding, Ossie. Would appreciate knowing some cutting techniques, tools, etc on acrylic. I will have to work with it when I come to my boat's portholes.
Re: DIY Exodus Computer Case Modding
Nice work ossie, parang gusto ko ring halukayin old cases ko, i've done case modding too during my water cooling days, but some tips and tricks on how to tinker w/ acrilycs will be appreciated.
Re: DIY Exodus Computer Case Modding
waahhh hindi ko inisip na i overclock ang Q6600 ko hehe im already satisfied, coz im just playing solitaire 😮 hahahaha
its all cut manually. i drill the round corner and cut by bosch disc which i only just found out good also in acrylics coz in dewalt disc, the acrylic just melt down when cutting. i used to drill all corner then file, sand afterwards. thanks
