Re: High Voltage Fuse (Microwave) - Saan meron?

i was just hoping that those big electronics store have that kind of fuse.

ordinaryo lang naman itsura nun.

kaso nung makita ko yung price sa ebay, dun na lang ako bumili. considering yung pamasahe ko from Laguna to manila plus yung oras at pagod, mas malaking mura.

sana lang eh dumating on time. hehehehe

nagbayad ako through paypal. more or less Php230 for 2 pieces of the fuse.

That's a good buy. I never thought ebay had such too specific items. Maybe if it's not much of a privacy, could you share us some feedbacks on the items and the seller once you get the package for future reference? Thanks!

I think ebay is quite safe. Not much personal information is divulged especially if you use paypal.

Of course if you register in paypal, you have to provide your personal information just like in many internet-based shopping. You just have to choose where to buy or use your personal info. Paypal is quite popular. Amazon.com also.

For first timers who have some doubts, cheap items can be a good start just to experience online shopping.

Anyway. I'll keep you posted regarding my orders.

Re: High Voltage Fuse (Microwave) - Saan meron?

Since you might have gotten it already in ebay, i guess i ll just post this for those who are about to bust their fuse.
----

Microwave Fuse 5KV, 0.7amp, got it for 25 pesos. They also have lots of strange looking fuse there. Im sure they have what you need.
Just go to P.Gomez Center in Raon , its like a flea market of Microwave parts there.

Ignore those errand boys in the street, theyll offer you same thing at 5 times they are selling it in P.Gomez.

While your at it, you can go around and familiarize yourself of what they have there so you'll know where to buy it next time you need some parts that is hard to find elsewhere.

wow sayang talaga!!!!

Re: High Voltage Fuse (Microwave) - Saan meron?

Please let us know what came out of your order. I was actually under the impression that prices on online ordering from abroad should include the customs tax and shipping cost on top of what they claim online. They said the only way you'll get better deal from it is when your order is more or less around 10 to 15k. Anything less however small will have a minimum cost of 7k (including the shipping, tax, and customs hassles).

I dont know if these are myths. please let us know what happened.

I realize im already off topic. To stay with the topic:

P.Gomez Center is actually in P.Gomez street perpendicular to Raon, There are around 20 stalls inside mostly selling parts of Microwave, Electric fan, Refrigerator, Washing Machine and other things that i donot recognize.

Aside from Raon, There are also fuse and other microwave parts on some electric fan, washing machine shops on the streets of metro manila.

Re: High Voltage Fuse (Microwave) - Saan meron?

Bro, please take caution in handling the microwave. The capacitor may still have some charges around 2000 volts. Try to bleed it out using a resistor, or short it with insulated screw drivers.

thanks for the tip!

but the fuse i ordered from ebay (HK-based supplier) arrived after I left already for abroad so it has yet to be installed.

the microwave is now unused for years already hehehehe. hopefully i can fix it once i go back home.

Re: High Voltage Fuse (Microwave) - Saan meron?

hi! sorry for resurrecting my old thread.

some updates.

i mentioned that my order arrived after i left for abroad. but because of the tsunami and nuclear plant situation, i was forced have a vacation last March. i installed the fuse and it is still working up to this time. btw, the fuse arrived a bit late.

now, i am trying to replace a high voltage fuse of another microwave oven. too bad it has a different rating from the one i ordered from ebay. i have an extra 5kv 0.9A fuse but this time i need a 5kv 0.7A (Sharp microwave).

i found one from ebay worth around Php300 but this time i would like to try raon or p. gomez since i am also going to buy some parts for our CRT TV.

any tips? thanks!
