kahit anong format (wma, vlc at mp4) e ayaw ipakita yung video. black screen lang ipinapakita...pero naririnig ko naman audio.

ngayon lang nangyari. since day 1 ng laptop ko e mahusay naman ang pagplay ng videos.

wala naman akong ginalaw sa setup. just the usual and daily dose of internet.

windows 7 ang OS.

patulong naman mga IT peeps. salamat

, you forgot to mention if the problem only happens when your just watching video or the black screen happens in everything you do with your laptop from boot up - totally black screen all throughout?

assuming the worst, totally black screen all throughout, the first thing to do is to isolate and determine if the problem is with the hardware or software of the laptop. to test if it's a hardware problem, connect your laptop to an external screen monitor. if you don't have an external monitor at home, check and see if you can connect your laptop to your tv and use it (tv) as a screen. if the laptop screen comes out ok in the external monitor or your tv, then the problem is hardware related - LCD screen of your laptop may need replacement or what. you have to bring it to a service center for inspection.

let us know if you can test (hardware problem) the above from your home. otherwise, you may have to bring your laptop to a repair shop for testing. to isolate a software problem, you need to have an external monitor at home, otherwise you can't do much as you really need a screen for the task ... hope this helps ... cheers

kung during video play lang , i would presume na its more of a software problem. if its from startup, another possibility would be inverter going bad.

that's good news at ok na ulit laptop mo. most likely, baka na corrupt lang yun pointers for the video codec use by VLC or WMC which was then corrected when you shutdown and power up the laptop again.

for your security, at least once a week, create a restore point of your windows 7 OS - sort of a backup copy of all the settings and registers currently in use by the OS. it's also good to create a restore point before installing any software in your laptop. this way, any software problem in the future, you always have a fallback position to restore everything from the last good point where you use the laptop to be working fine ... cheers

Boo!

bumalik na naman ngayon etong problema ko.....sinubukan ko lang uli kagabi na ireinstall yung vlc, just for good measure kako, watched a movie. ok naman.

tapos ngayon ganun uli. grrrrr.

, pre, eto yung steps below on how to find and create a restore point ...

1. open the control panel screen
2. at the top left side of the screen there is a search box ... type this ... "create a restore point".
3. at the left side of the screen, it will show the result of the search. you will see under the System icon "create a restore point" ... click on this item.
4. a new screen will pop up ... System Properties ... at the bottom of this screen, there is a button bar name "Create" ... click the button bar and a new box appear to enter a descriptive name for the restore point you want to create ... enter a name and click the Create button ... it will take less than 5 minutes to complete it ...

to restore the OS from a previously created restore point, the upper part of System Properties window is a bar button "System Restore" ... click and follow the process ... click/check the small box to show more restore points, including the ones you manually created before ... select which one you want to use and click button to start ... cheers

Boo!

MEDIA PLAYER CLASSIC try mong player sir.
Also try to update all your Drivers, Java, etc.

Also check mo yung hardware by:

RUN > type in "dxdiag".

Check kung nade-detect lahat ng hardware.

you can try this.

in windows 7

click start type dxdiag.exe and hit enter run it and take a look at the video box

this will run a simple diagnostic of you're system and tell you the health status of many of you components.

you could also
click start type "record steps to reproduce a problem" and hit enter
click record
repeat steps that have led to problems in the past
click stop on the record
analyze report...
