ClixLogic is now based in Don Antonio Heights, Holy Spirit, Commonwealth, QC. I just had battery of three (3) units ES500 replaced for P1300 each with a 12-month warranty. I decided to go with this rather buy a new UPS at P2400 ea. Will let you know if this is a good decision.

we've used yuasa batteries to replace our ups batteries (at work) before... if it's any help. I usually see them (back then) in DIY Stores... have yet to chance upon them at Handyman or Ace though...hth.
Safety first - always wear face/eye/ear/hand protection as a minimum.

sa raon po.. yung battery ng regular ups cost only... 300 to 400 pesos... madali lang po buksan yan.. usually... 4 screws lang... saksak saksak.. then your done.. good for another 2 to 3 years..

i would recommend you replace your UPS battery with the YUASA brand made in japan. its OEM to many reputable UPS manufacturer. There is a store along West Avenue, QC (approx. 600meters from EDSA) which carry this brand. the store name is TP Batteries. They also sell GS batteries for cars and industrial use. just bring your old batteries to make sure you buy the correct size. I have repaired alot of UPS using YUASA batteries with very god results.
Will see if the shops listed here are still open or at their posted locations still. I just got an APC but for the computers and electronics, not for the power tools. This thread is very useful, thanks!
if the UPS uses multiple smaller batteries (most likely, this type of batteries are the sealed lead acid battery) inside, then maybe some of the batteries inside are still in good working condition, don't throw away the old batteries ...
you can use them for a lot of things like a power source for emergency lights during brownouts 🙂 ... one thing you need to do for this old batteries, if your not regularly using them, is to always charge it if the charge level is already low.
my son made an emergency light using his old motorcycle battery + his motorcycle broken LED light (the low beam LEDs was no longer working but the high beam LEDs are still working fine) ... already showing the signs of becoming a DIYer like his father 🙂 he he he
all types of lead acid battery should always be kept in a good charge level in order for the battery not to deteriorate. one thing LAB do not like is being left undercharge for a long time. this is because of the chemical properties that is use in lead acid battery ... same with car batteries, if your alternator does not properly charge your car battery, it will not last long ... cheers

and if this is the case (UPS uses multiple smaller batteries), don't replace just the ones that are not good anymore, replace them all with new batteries as they have internal resistance & if you just replace the bad ones, the internal resistance will not be somewhat uniformed to all batteries & this will cause the new ones to deteriorate faster if mixed with old ones.
