i have an old set which i got from a compaq computer circa 1990's, but still no luck getting these thumb screws from the usual computer shops.
Re: where to buy thumb screws
this might help if you still look for those, only nicer looking... http://www.tipidpc.com/viewitem.php?iid=1540362
click my signature and it will take you there........
Re: where to buy thumb screws
I had those on my old Compaq. Bad timing though, I just had it recycled last week.
I'll look out for those in our office's recycling bin. Maybe someone will turn in his old Compaq. I'll mail it to you if I find some.
BTW, what do you need it for? Can't you use a regular case screw?
Re: where to buy thumb screws
Just found a couple at a used computer parts store here. They were asking C$0.50 cents for each one. I didn't buy it as I thought that it was overpriced considering it's a used item. I'll still keep an eye for them.
BTW how many do you need?
Re: where to buy thumb screws
thank you for replying! those in tipidpc look cool! i will try buying from him. these thumb screws are more convenient to use than the regular ones, at least i won't have to grab a screwdriver when i want to open up my computer.
