Interesting reverse psychology there.

I assume that this (and in general, Ozito items described as 'almost new') was used in Australia then being sold here? Is it known why the original owner sold or returned it (in this specific case, as well as in general)?

Charger voltage/frequency?

Does the '3 year replacement warranty' still apply?

Yes..precisely well said..but you have to guess the reason ..but
There were classification of australian items..
1. Display unit - Units displayed in store-scratchless no sign of use and not being sold in customer in australia..It was disposed as used and classified here as almost new here..
2. Demo units-Used to demo
3. Second Product- Returned by unsatisfied customer within return warranty period|"
4. Returned units- These were used items and very obvious was used..sign of abuse, with scratches and some defects on it..

I see no wrong in buying 2nd hand tools as long as it serve it purpose..Some can afford to buy new one , for those who can afford to have one and lots of bucks..go for high end there is no argue on that- ..but not all are blessed with money to spend on..these tools are alternative tools only DIY tools..Misconception always comes in and debate would be endless wether its a good choice or not..

my father used to collect tools, porter cable, makita, metabo but funny he used what i sell.he rarely used his priceless toll..When some of his friend come to our house precisely the topic indeed was his tools heheh-the high end tools while having some karaoke n sumthing.."what i learned from him..he always tells me "Son, its not the tool what is important but the skills and creativity you could make out of it, tools are only secondary.."

Obvious warranty is not applicable here sir...since it was 2nd hand most buyer haggle the price in lieu of personal warranty..

50hz hz sir..The 50 Hz represents the frequency at which the voltage in the wire oscillates. Charging transformer don't care about this, and neither do most electronic components as they turn this alternating current (AC) into constant (DC) direct current anyway.
