the table saw. well.. i dont advise it to be run as a table saw. the blade changes its plane of reference everytime you change height. And the cast iron top is not leveled square. The fence system is a joke
so if someone can use it for something else it will be great.

i wanna hear the comment of Edward on how his Jet tools are ending up lima singko sa PHM..hehe
mine was sold to kapauster (a TPC user) and was also willing to sell it at 5K eventually, almost new...well he wasnt simply satisfied with the performance.
but it can cut naman eh..di ba bee.?

there are plenty stuff sold in Panda and eslewhere wherein the price is the significant factor. And to be honest, a lot of stores make their sale that way. just imagine how long it takes Mayon to dispose 36pcs of 3612C... would you believe around 5 years 😮 now how much Maktec router do you think they can sell in a year?
the Makita rep even told me that people want the 3612C when they walk in and go home with another model bec of the price...
Jet is a known product worldwide, unfortunately not all their items are produced with quality in mind. I'm sure the JTS-10 ts was intended for the weekend warrior wanting to try his hand doing home repairs... and I'm sure it will sell bec of the price and not bec of the quality. I guess it is best to do your homework before a significant purchase...

with these things in mind..i have discarded practically all of my crappy tools to friends.
but still another tool of best quality will end up in someone else's hand very soon.
its just a redundance to my shop though i hate to part with it.
but i am sure i will be more happy when the tool sees more action in someone else's wood shop.

its my makita 3600 d handle router.
you are right timb...when you get a quality tool with the most features and ease of use...you cannot contain your satisfaction.
and simply cannot ask for more.

when i fitted the jet with a 24 teeth freud blade, ripping was enjoyable...but when doing crosscuts, the miter is lousy with almost 3mm play but that can be corrected if you pushed the stock to the side of the fence but that was cumbersome sometimes.
the cast iron top is also lightweight making the motor to ramble a bit...
another downside is the poor machining of the motor spindle causing to cut an imperfect 90 degree..almost impossible to correct it, i even thought of an imperfect sled to cut a perfect 90 degree.:p
but the mlt100 came out and somebody was interested with the jet...and so the story goes.

I even remembered when Jay and I use to chat and kept telling you not to get the MLT100. and one day to our surprise, you just went and got one :eek:... what was more surprising was when you had a 4100 without even telling us how the MLT ran...yun pala it ran away na 😀

Ben, since you have a lot of contacts, you might know someon who could fabricate a sound table for your saw and fix the trunnion. It might all be worthwhile.

The table saw unfortunately is not assembled in a trunnion fashion. The direct drive motor blade assembly basically is bolted on the underneath of the top
