Reason for selling?

The infeed and out feed table are NOT perfectly leveled Hence Buyer will have to find a way to level them.

This is what i mean about not level, the infeed table itself has a low spot. Same goes with the outfeed table, it has a low spot. Hence the tops needs to be remachined.

There is a crack in one of the bolting points

This is variable speed

I got this for 15K and i would sell it for 5K.

Its 220volts

Re: Johnson elektrik 6" bench top jointer

Timber,

I am also open for swapping

Rosy,

A jointer is used for squaring the face or edge of a stock. squaring means making one side of a stock perfectly straight and flat.

The reason i emphasized the low points in the infeed and outfeed table is because if these are not perfectly squared themselves it makes it harder to run a stock to make it square.

I also found not much use for it since i do my "jointing" in the table saw with a jig.

I hope I was able to clearly explain it, Just ask away if you have any more questions 🙂

Re: Johnson elektrik 6" bench top jointer

It functions like a hand planer (powered hand plane.) Except it's upside down. So you move the wood from infeed to outfeed ala tablesaw. Run a piece through it and you should get one flat side. Referencing against the the fence, and you'll "joint" one side perfectly 90's to the flat side.

After this, it's off to the thickness planer (like makita 2012nb) for the other sides. You now have a properly milled/dimensioned lumber.

Re: Johnson elektrik 6" bench top jointer

I am relieved that you got it running very well 🙂 i am very happy with the Bosch ixo screwdriver. That little thing can drive a gypsum screw in a two inch tanguile without a pilot hole!

What did you guys do to square the table tops? Don't tell me you filed it?
