Re: Aircon - Are Inverter types worth it?
Sir, did you consider the ambient temperature while you were using the conventional A/C (May & June are summer months) vs ngayon July (kinda umuulan na) when you used your inverter A/C.
The most important part of my test was coverage. I installed the inverter in a 66sqm. area with a 3.2m high ceiling. Not only did it cool the entire room but it really was comfortable. We fitted around 30.guests during parties and was able to test it's cooling performance and it was great. These parties took place in the last half of May, June and July.

our electric bill dropped from ~3.8K in summer to 2.1K as of yesterday's bill. we run the ground floor(~5hours) and around 10hours in the room 2nd floor. The room area is only 8sqm, the AC can drop the temperature a degree per minute from initial start.
go go na for an inverter AC, it is only the initial high cost that will haunt you, you will be happy in the end.
Is there a difference between a window type inverter and split type inverter in terms of energy consumption?
Split type seems more expensive (unit + installation) but the sales folks are saying that it is more energy efficient than a window type inverter.
They are saying that split type saves as much as 60% while inverter saves only abt 40%.
Feedback pala on Gree vs Kolin vs Whirlpool inverter aircons pls. Cant decide eh.

Try to back read this topic and find out experiences of other members with inverter type of air conditioning, you will see the pros and cons of having this type of air conditioning units.

They both reduce your electricity consumption. I am not sure about the figures those salesmen are telling but what I read is that split-type versions are PIA when it comes to maintenance (cleaning and servicing if it needs repair). Window type versions are plug and play type.
Maybe you can google the figures about energy saving and give us a feedback. My guess is that if there is any difference, it will boil down to how the unit can accurately measure the room temperature assuming both have equal cooling capacity inside same size room.
Do not Buy SAMSUNG Aircon Split type aircon. Our Two units just breakdown and the problem was the motherboard.
We currently using Koppel and Carrier.
Koppel <- Manufactured in the Philippines Bicutan
LG Electronics <- Manufactured Philippines Mandaluyung
Carrier <- Manufactured Philippines Laguna
Panasonic <- Manufactured Philippines Ortigas Ext.
I think you will not get wrong with these brands since they are tested for the Philippine climate.
For other brands of aircon. I do not have idea where they are manufactured.
i use a small inverter for my wine cellar. It's fantastic, it's a Panasonic inverter. Couldn't fault it. It keeps the room at a really consistent temperature and keeps all my wines at a perfect temperature.
I think mine is 5.kw wattage.
It's in Australian dollars but you get the idea. Speaking of wine cellars, i also recommend the Sirenya Pinot Grigio, find that here : https://www.vinaceous.com.au/product/sirenya-pinot-grigio/ . Speaking of wine gets me excited haha
Anyway, Hopefully, that Aircon does the trick though!
Cheers
Koppel is actually worth it. Been using it for 3 years and not even a leak occurred.
