Please help me install the water inlet hose pipe of my washing machine. I didn't request for a demo/installation because I've used the same type back in South Africa.

Only when I opened the box this morning, the hose pipe looks really alien to me. How do I install this to the tap? What kind of tap is this compatible with anyway?

I am used to this kind of hose attachment

Our tap looks like this

Help naman po, please. Salamat!

HI there ellieces,

Can you post a picture of the washing machine particularly the portion ( male water inlet ) where one connects the end of the hose coming from the tap faucet. Would it be possible if you could also please enlarge pics for easy visualization, I don't think it will be that hard to connect the hose to the water inlet of the washing machine. :p 😉

Thanks Rosy! Hindi ko nga gets bakit ang liit nung attachment pictures, eh malaki naman dapat sya...

Anyway, I also posted help in my FB. Sabi daw pang threadless daw na tap yun. So either maghanap ako hose for a threaded tap, or palitan ko yung gripo mismo.

Re: Help Install Washing Machine Water Inlet Hose Please

There are third party attachments available to replace your current hose and fittings. Bring your hose to any DIY store or Ace hardware and show them what you need or check any alternative Tap conversion fittings. You may also request for them to assemble a new hose line with matching fittings to your TAP end and washing machine inlet if there are no adaptors available. Hope this helps.:goodluck:

HI there again ellieces,

OK pics are much better. Your tap faucet if standard, the same us ours or maybe most of the households in the country. You can buy those hose attachments at malls sa gardening section, one for the threaded faucet and one for the other end of the hose, (brand is Greenfields) it is the click type adaptor which you can easily connect to the washing machine, standard naman ang size nyan, then buy a hose about a meter or two then have those attachments installed by the sales guy there and your done. 😀

GOOD LUCK ! 😉 :p

Re: Help Install Washing Machine Water Inlet Hose Please

My Samsung washing machine also came with that kind of a hose. And my tap is one of those plastic ones, but with a thread same as yours. I made it fit by drilling holes on the tap for the screws to hold on.

After some months the plastic "nut" on the other end of the Samsung supplied hose broke. I guess it wasn't made of durable plastic.

Then I found out that the washing machine and the tap have the same size thread! So I just cut a piece from my garden hose and bought the needed fittings then proceeded to make my own washing machine hose.

One minor flaw is the kink

Re: Help Install Washing Machine Water Inlet Hose Please

Okay na po mga sirs. Went to Handyman and the salesperson showed me na natatanggal nga yung top part na may scerws kaya it can fit the garden hose fittings na click type (gaya po ng sabi ni sir rosy).

Ayus din kasi nakahanap ako ng two way valve para maikabit ko din sa same tap yung Dishwasher ko.

Salamat po sa lahat! Enjoy the rest of the weekend. =D

(side note: Bakit ganun, pag direct upload from my laptop yung pictures, kahit gaano kalaki maliit na thumbnail lang sya lumalabas? Kelangan URL link para lumaki ang picture, tulad na ginamit ko kaya lumaki yang unang post ko... )

@ellieces,

This is a little OT reply for your query on uploading pics :

Scroll down the index page then click the GAZEBO Forum, there are several sticky threads there, I think ist two or three threads saying how to upload pics to photobucket, from facebook etc etc.

Posting pics from the camera to FB is much easier, it can be direct but uploading to the forums may need some task like uploading first to the computer then to libraries then to the folder then resizing the whole batch of pics, then uploading to your photobucket account which now you can use to upload pics to your thread in the forums. 😉 😀 😎
