Hi,

Just got a 42" LG with an LG bracket as well. The bracket kit came 10mm plastic anchors and lag screws.

Would it be a better option/safer to use the lead lag shields instead of the plastic anchors or would it simply be an overkill?

I always err on the side of overkill. It may help comparing the value of your tv vs the trouble and added expense of the stronger attachment. My 0.02

ok, the tv with the oem mount is 25kg. is there a standard concrete fastening guidelines for this? e.g. depth/hole diameter, Mx screw/bolt/stud to use?

Sorry, not responding to your question on "standard" right now. I recall having filed away that bit of info somewhere but I'm on the road for a few days.

Just wanted to share my experience on my 46-inch Sony LCD. I was advised by the dealer against installing it on a wall with an Aircon on it. He said the aircon's effect on humidity on its immediate vicinity is bad for electronics. I heeded his advice and put my TV on a stand but still near the aircon. Then, typhoon Pedring came howling. Wind was so strong it drove rain droplets through the aircon vent into our bedroom into the TV. Had to spend quite a sum to get theTV repaired as its IC got soaked.

So pls do inspect where you are installing the aircon.
